We are the Retired Teachers of Ontario in Temiskaming-Cochrane. We are about 900 members strong and we enjoy the many unique features of this area such as beautiful camping and walking trails, superb restaurants and shopping.

Our communities, include Cochrane, Englehart, Hearst, Kapuskasing, Iroquois Falls & Val Gagne, Matheson, Kirkland Lake, Temiskaming Shores, Temagami, and Timmins.  Although large in size we still maintain a close relationship that benefits our members.

Since 1968, The Retired Teachers of Ontario/Les enseignantes et enseignants retraités de l’Ontario (RTO/ERO) has provided excellent programs and services for teachersschool and board administrators, educational support staff, childhood educators, child care professionals and college and university faculty in retirement.

A bilingual, non-profit organization, RTO/ERO provides a strong and active voice for over 72,000 members ranging in age from 46 to 109, including over 6,700 associate members.Membership brochure
